He is the sponsor of various research directions at Cisco, including a focus on the next generation web protocol, HTTP2. The author of 43 RFCs that span the breadth of Internet technology, Eliot is a sitting member of the IETF’s architecture oversight body, the Internet Architecture Board, and has been a co-Rapporteur in the ITU-D’s Q22-1/1 “Securing information and communication networks: best practices for developing a culture of cybersecurity”.
