With over 10 years of experience as an activist, citizen journalist, social entrepreneur and digital media professional, Iffat Rose Gill has worked for the social empowerment of women and girls through many different initiatives. Currently focussing on the use of modern ICTs and digital literacy, she advises, consults, trains and inspires.

Iffat is one of the pioneers who advocated meaningful participation of youth at global forums like UN’s Internet Governance Forum. She won the ITU/Diplo Youth Fellowship for the UN’s Internet Governance Forum for her advocacy efforts and ran successful campaigns for inclusion of youth in national and global debates on emerging technological issues.

Currently she focuses most of her efforts on ChunriChoupaal, an initiative for economic and social empowerment of women and girls through capacity building through the use of modern ICTs and digital literacy and Gill Non-profit Consulting, helping organisations about the use of digital media for social fundraising and effective online presence.
