At Global Partners Digital (GDP), Lea leads a programme of work that aims to facilitate global South civil society engagement in international debates on internet policy and governance. She provides research and analysis on a range of internet policy issues, particularly on the evolution of the internet governance ecosystem, and the role and position of key states in the global South within the current debates on global internet governance. She works closely with governments in the Freedom Online Coalition (FOC), for which GPD is performing a secretariat function. As a member of the UK Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group on Internet Governance (MAGIG), she has been participating in the consultation processes with the UK government on international internet freedom issues and the potential implications of international discussions on internet governance since March 2013.
