Rudolf van der Berg, a Dutch national, is a policy analyst at the Division for Digital Economy Policy at the OECD since 2011. He has written reports on the Machine-to-Machine communication, Internet of Things, connected television, mobile termination rates, fixed mobile convergence, international cables and Internet exchange points and contributed to 2011 and 2013 OECD Communications Outlook. Upcoming work will address machine learning and autonomous systems and competition in mobile networks. He initiated and organised with the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications two meetings on IP-interconnection, which brought the Internet peering community and regulators together. Prior to the OECD he worked as a management consultant in energy and telecom, a policy advisor on telecom and Internet at the strategy unit of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands and as a business development manager for the Dutch German Internet Exchange. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Twente University in The Netherlands.
