Dr. Elycia Wallis has worked in the museum sector for 19 years and is Manager of Online Collections at Museum Victoria, in Melbourne, Australia.

Originally trained as a scientist, Dr Wallis holds a PhD in Zoology and also a Masters in Knowledge Management. Dr Wallis is the current Chair of the Global Biodiversity Heritage Library Coordinating Committee and also manages this project in Australia under the auspices of the Atlas of Living Australia. She has a passion for open access to information, and believes that everyone should be able to benefit from the vast collections and information held within the gallery, library, archives and museum sectors.
